The Driggs company was founded in 2004 and moved from Wyoming in 2006

22logoonwhitejpegTwentyTwo Designs, a high-performance Telemark ski binding manufacturer, recently announced that 2013 was the first year the company has assembled 100 percent of its products in Driggs, Idaho.  Owners Chris Valiante and Collins Pringle have been steadily growing their business in the Teton Valley and continue to add retailers nationally and distributors around the world.

“We are very excited to have moved all our assembly operations to Driggs, especially because we’re coming up on the ten-year anniversary of our business!” Valiante said.

TwentyTwo Designs was created in February of 2004 by Valiante and Pringle.  The company was named for Wyoming Highway 22, which travels over the Teton Pass – an area that has become one of the most popular backcountry skiing spots in the country.

When Valiante and Pringle started the company, they inherited the HammerHead binding from Rainey Designs, which ended its strong run this year.  The two created the acclaimed, free-pivot Axl binding in 2009, and their newest binding, the Vice, last year.  With the energy of doing what they love, TwentyTwo Designs has been a shot of fresh blood into the Telemark industry.  Telemark, also known as free heel skiing, is a form of downhill skiing that uses bindings where the boot is only attached at the toe, allowing the heel to come up from the ski.  Because the heel is free, it allows the skier to go into a lunge position to turn.

Both Valiante and Pringle are Telemark skiers and mechanical engineers; the two are dedicated to producing the best Telemark bindings in the world.  They continue to actively pursue new ideas to produce backcountry bindings that exceed the expectations of their customers.  The company now has retailers in 23 states and exports internationally to Australia, Austria, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Poland, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

On top of it all, TwentyTwo Designs strives to be an environmentally conscious company.  Every binding that is produced is made of the most durable materials and designed to last a lifetime.  All products are made in the United States.
